DESCRIPTION:The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning\, under the AVINYAM Student Association\, inaugurated a six-day certification course on “Deep Learning using PyTorch and TensorFlow” on 27th January 2026 at the 3rd Floor AI & ML Lab\, in association with Thaniya Technologies\, Mangaluru. The inaugural session was graced by Mr. Shailesh Shetty S\, Director of Thaniya Technologies\, as the Chief Guest\, and Mr. Srinivas P. M\, Chief Technology Officer of Thaniya Technologies\, as the Guest of Honour. The function was presided over by Dr. M. Basavaraj\, Principal\, CIT. The program aimed to equip students with practical knowledge of deep learning frameworks and their real-world applications. The session marked the beginning of an intensive learning experience focused on emerging technologies and industry-relevant skills. The department expresses its sincere gratitude to the dignitaries and industry experts for their support and guidance in making the inauguration a successful and enriching event.

DESCRIPTION:UTKARSH 2K26\, organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning under the banner of AVINYAM Student Association\, was conducted on 9 June 2026 at the AI & ML Lab\, Coorg Institute of Technology. The event provided a platform for 4th Semester AI & ML students to showcase their innovative mini projects\, demonstrating technical proficiency\, creativity\, and problem-solving skills in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. M. Basavaraj\, Principal\, CIT\, in the presence of faculty members and students. Among the various projects presented\, the project “MathLens”\, developed by Jeevitha and Aysha Mizna K. R.\, secured the First Prize for its innovative approach and practical application\, while the project “CDMS”\, developed by Shamanth Subbaiah C. S.\, A. N. Deepak\, and Aryan Somaiah\, was awarded the Second Prize for its technical excellence and effective implementation.
