SUMMARY:Ability Enhancement Skills for Industrial Exposure
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a talk on “Ability enhancement skills for industrial exposure” for the first-year students as a part of the induction programme on 8th September 2023 from 10 AM to 4 PM.  Mr. Raghavendra D\, HR and admin\, Rangoon’s LLP\, Mysuru was the resource person of the event. Mr. Raghavendra D educated the students about how evolving fields like engineering and technology changes with continuous advancement and jobs in the IT industry demand trained and up-to-date individuals that keep track of industry changes. The resource person explained how Career guidance can help students understand their strengths\, weaknesses\, and interests\, and provided them with a clearer picture of the career paths available to them. He also explained the students about the importance of improving communication skills and how it enables students to identify\, articulate\, model\, and solve problems. A total of around 236 students participated in the session.

DESCRIPTION:The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized “Engineers Day” celebration with great enthusiasm on September 15th 2023\, and aimed to promote awareness about the latest technological advancements\, provide a platform for knowledge sharing\, and recognize the achievements of students. Program was inaugurated by the chief guest\, Sri C P Belliappa\, Former President\, K.ES\, guest of honor\, Sri C P Rakesh Poovaiah\, Dr. M Basavaraj\, Principal\, CIT and Prof. Daina K.K\, HOD\, Department of Computer Science & Engineering. \nThe highlight of the day was the keynote address by the chief guest Sri C P Belliappa. He delivered an inspiring and informative talk on the latest trends in technology\, with a particular focus on “Slide Rule” and “Singularity”. The audience gained valuable insights into how “Slide Rule” principles can be applied in real world engineering projects. \nIn addition to “Slide Rule”\, the chief guest delved into the intriguing topic of “Singularity”\, this concept often associated with artificial intelligence and robotics\, refers to points where functions or system become undefined or exhibit extreme behaviors. The audience learned about the significance of singularity in cutting edge technology and its potential implications for the future.

DESCRIPTION:The 4th semester students of Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a mini project exhibition on 26th September 2023 at 10:00AM in first floor CSE Lab. The mini project exhibition showcased an impressive array of innovative and creative projects created by the students. The event provided an excellent platform for students and faculty to witness the culmination of hard work\, creativity\, and innovation in diverse fields. Dr. M. Basavaraj\, Principal and Mrs. Daina K K\, HOD\, Department of Computer Science and Engineering visited the exhibition during the scheduled time and were warmly welcomed by the organizing committee and students. They took a comprehensive tour of the exhibition\, engaging with students and gaining insights into the projects. Totally 8 batches participated in the event.
