DESCRIPTION:The department of Computer Science and Engineering inaugurated department Student Association followed by one-day workshop on “Cyber Security” on 12-12-2023 in third floor seminar hall at 10:00 AM. The Computer Science Department Student Association Inauguration Program was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Gururaj H L\, Associate Professor\, Manipal Institute of Technology as the Chief Guest. The program was presided by Dr.M C Kariappa Hon.President\, Kodava Education Society. Dr.M Basavaraj\, Principal and the HOD’s of all the departments graced the occasion. Dr. Gururaj H L delivered an insightful and motivational address\, emphasizing the importance of student associations in shaping the future of aspiring professionals. He shared valuable experiences from his own journey and encouraged students to actively engage in opportunities for learning and growth.\nFollowing the successful inauguration of the Computer Science Department Student Association Program\, a workshop on Cyber Security was organized. Dr. Gururaj H L and his esteemed coworker\, Dr. Shreyas J collaboratively brought together their expertise and insights\, providing an invaluable learning opportunity for the students. The workshop began with an in-depth overview of the current cyber security landscape. Dr. Gururaj and Dr. Shreyas covered key concepts such as threat vectors\, attack surfaces\, and the importance of risk assessment in cyber security. This workshop aimed to provide students with practical insights and skills in the ever-evolving field of cyber security.\nThe inauguration of the Department Students’ Association was a resounding success. The event not only marked the formal beginning of the association but also fostered a sense of community and excitement among the students.
