DESCRIPTION:The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized “Engineers Day” celebration with great enthusiasm on September 15th 2023\, and aimed to promote awareness about the latest technological advancements\, provide a platform for knowledge sharing\, and recognize the achievements of students. Program was inaugurated by the chief guest\, Sri C P Belliappa\, Former President\, K.ES\, guest of honor\, Sri C P Rakesh Poovaiah\, Dr. M Basavaraj\, Principal\, CIT and Prof. Daina K.K\, HOD\, Department of Computer Science & Engineering. \nThe highlight of the day was the keynote address by the chief guest Sri C P Belliappa. He delivered an inspiring and informative talk on the latest trends in technology\, with a particular focus on “Slide Rule” and “Singularity”. The audience gained valuable insights into how “Slide Rule” principles can be applied in real world engineering projects. \nIn addition to “Slide Rule”\, the chief guest delved into the intriguing topic of “Singularity”\, this concept often associated with artificial intelligence and robotics\, refers to points where functions or system become undefined or exhibit extreme behaviors. The audience learned about the significance of singularity in cutting edge technology and its potential implications for the future.
