The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, under the banner of TECHNOVA – Student Association (2025–26), successfully organized Nova Carnival 2026, a two-day interdepartmental fest on 16th and 17th April 2026. The event was inaugurated with an energetic
flash mob performance by the 4th semester CS&E students, setting a vibrant and enthusiastic tone for the carnival.

The event was designed to blend technical excellence, sporting spirit, and cultural vibrance, providing a holistic platform for students to showcase their talents. The carnival witnessed enthusiastic participation from multiple departments, making it a grand success.

The valedictory ceremony, Nova Honours, held on 24th April 2026 marked the formal conclusion of Nova Carnival 2026.The event was graced by Dr. M. Basavaraj, Principal, CIT, who addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of students and organizers. Prof. Daina K K, Head of the Department also addressed the audience, highlighting the importance of extracurricular activities in overall student development. Prof. Kirthan K M , Coordinator, Technova was also present on the stage. Winners were felicitated and awarded for their outstanding performances across all events. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering secured the championship through consistent performance in technical, cultural, and sports events.
