A Site Visit to “Gabion wall retaining wall structure” constructed at a landslide-affected site located downslope of a roadway at Srimangala, Kodagu was organized to the students of the department on 21st April 2025. The engineer at site briefed the students on the reasons for slope failure in the region and how the gabion wall mitigates further soil movement and supports the road embankment. The visit provided students with practical insights into geotechnical engineering solutions for landslide-prone areas.
